In this video, I'll show how to fix GTA 5 Enhanced Edition crash, GTA 5 Enhanced crashing, and GTA V Enhanced crash on startup.
1. Go to the game folder
2. Select "PlayGTAV"
3. Right-click it
4. Click on "Properties"
5. Click on "Compatibility"
6. Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations"
7. Check "Run this program as administrator"
8. Click on "Apply"
9. Click on "OK"
10. Select "PlayGTAV"
11. Right-click it
12. Click on "Show more options"
13. Click on "Create shortcut"
14. Select the shortcut
15. Right-click it
16. Click on "Properties"
17. Press the RIGHT ARROW key to go to the end of path
18. Press the SPACE BAR key
19. Write -dx12
20. Click on "Apply"
21. Click on "OK"
Make sure to always launch the game using this shortcut.
22. Go to "Documents"
23. Open "Rockstar Games" folder
24. Open "GTA V Enhanced" folderr
25. Select the "settings" file
26. Right-click it
27. Click on "Delete"
Finally, also keep in mind that you should set "PlayGTAV" to run as administrator, and not the other executables, otherwise the game may not launch. In the video, I showed to only set "PLAYGTAV" to run as administrator.
Make sure to update your drivers.
